In memory of the fabulous MLM

In memory of the fabulous MLM

I wish I could pay my final respects to MLM in person, but not being able to beam myself anywhere I need another way to do it.

My idea for anybody who has the same problem is a read together.
On November 7th at 11 pm GMT+1 (Berlin, Germany) we could all read this story she has written, Wire
And meet afterwards here at lj in this community to honor her.

To see what time this is for you check out this site.
The story is around 600 words, so everyone could join in, because five minutes can be snatched anywhere.

I never met MLM in person, but I am awed by her strength and her way of looking at life.
And I am thankful to her for sharing all that and the wonderful insights on the Lads“ lives, too.

What a lovely tribute this will be - yes, I will join in and read the fic and will comment if possible.
I never had the opportunity to meet Mead but we had many internet chats. She will be sorely missed by so many.
ETA: 11pm on the 7th is 8am on the 8th for me - Sunday morning - it's doable!

9am for me - we have daylight saving time in Sydney!

ETA: right on the second attempt! I should have remembered to jump forward.

Heh so you get a bit more of a sleep-in.

Throughout the colder months we share a time zone, but from October through to late March NSW (where [livejournal.com profile] kiwisue lives) has Daylight Saving Time, whereas Queensland - where I live - does not. So there's an hour difference between Qld and NSW at present.

Something to do with the cows - or so I'm told;)

Morning! - I'll go over to my proper place now *g*

Heh I like to tell people that Queenslanders simply don't arbitrarily change time but are quite capable of adapting to the seasons *g*. Mind you, having been born in NSW and living there until 11 years ago, it took a few years to adjust to the lack.
