In memory of the fabulous MLM
In memory of the fabulous MLM
I wish I could pay my final respects to MLM in person, but not being able to beam myself anywhere I need another way to do it.
My idea for anybody who has the same problem is a read together.
On November 7th at 11 pm GMT+1 (Berlin, Germany) we could all read this story she has written, Wire
And meet afterwards here at lj in this community to honor her.
To see what time this is for you check out this site.
The story is around 600 words, so everyone could join in, because five minutes can be snatched anywhere.
I never met MLM in person, but I am awed by her strength and her way of looking at life.
And I am thankful to her for sharing all that and the wonderful insights on the Lads“ lives, too.

Just about all her stories went up in the Reading Room Dear Author segment (http://ci5hq.livejournal.com/282117.html ) a short while ago. (And I see you've left this message at CI5HQ too.)
So far, I haven't been able to comment on anything but 'With Added Dinosaur', but I'm going to keep going.
Moonlightmead seemed (as ever) so enthusiastic about the idea. It might take me a while. But I would like to read and comment on all her stories. As I originally planned to do.
So YES I think that's a lovely way for us all to take time out to remember her and something that was so important to her.
Count me in :0)
RE: Wire
Re: Wire
Now my brain's functioning a little better, it occurs to me that if you did a quickie post to say we were beginning, just before we started - nothing much - just a quick heads up.
It might make easier for people to know when we were kicking off, because juggling time zones is never easy.
Just a thought - and I don't want to overburden someone who is already busy - so it might not be a good thought :0)
RE: Re: Wire
Anyways, everybody should know at least if she should look for this in the morning or the afternoon, that's why I included the link to the time zone page.
Re: Wire
I'm glad you think so :0)
