I do enjoy a good Bodie or Doyle description. I like that an author may pick up on and highlight a feature I hadn't really noticed before. I also like it when they reflect on the beauty of that character generally.

Did you find a character description too chic and vein and superficial?

Good question! Nothing really stands out, in my mind, as coming across that way, though I'm quite open to sweetly awkward, gushy descriptions as honest expressions of fannishness.
